Gift Management System

Diplomatic gifting runs on protocol: who may issue what, to which rank of visiting dignitary, from which stock, with approval from whom — and every one of those facts has to be provable years later. The process was living across spreadsheets, email approvals and a physical register, in two languages. Reconciling stock against issuance was a manual annual exercise, and no single record answered 'who authorised this gift and when'.

Built on Frappe as seven interlocking modules: gift catalogue with tiered protocol classification, warehouse and batch stock, recipient and delegation registry, a multi-stage approval workflow gated by role and protocol rank, issuance with handover capture, returns and write-offs, and reporting. Every DocType carries a complete change trail. Print formats were authored in Jinja to render correct bilingual English/Arabic documents with proper right-to-left layout on the same page — the detail that decides whether an official document is acceptable. Access is zero-trust: VPN-only, IP allow-listed, with document-level permissions rather than role-level alone.
